- Scott, I checked with Dave Pelton, the Senior Resident Inspector at Vermont Yankee. He said the reconstituted assemblies in the spent fuel pool were checked this week, by specialists from GE. In a piece of good news, they were able to confirm the location, consistent with the records, of the two "parent" rods for the missing pieces. (We had been told previously that the missing pieces came from a single rod, but apparently it was two rods.)
