DUANE ARNOLD ENERGY CENTER - CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NO. 258 DATED MAY 12, 2005 (TAC NO MC2023)
Dear Mr. Peifer:
On May 12, 2005, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 258 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-49 for the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC). The Amendment consisted of revising Technical Specifications 1.4, Frequency, 5.5.2, Primary Coolant Sources Outside Containment, and 5.5.11, Safety Function Determination Program, in response to your application dated January 28, 2004. Through an administrative error, pages 1.4-3, 1.4-4, 1.4-6, 1.4-7, 1.4-8, 5.0-8, and 5.0-18 were not included with the issued amendment. This letter transmits those pages. Additionally, through a review of the amendment package, it was noted that there were four typographical errors in the NRC staff safety evaluation. On the third line of page 3, the word the should be a. On the 31st line of page 3, 5.5.12" should be 5.5.11." On page 6 lines 16 - 21, (beginning with Situations and ending with performed) are redundant to lines 22 - 27, (beginning with Situations and ending with performed). On line 16 of page 7, 3.3.1.a should be 3.2.1.a. The typographical errors did not affect the NRC staff conclusion.
