NRC Response to UCS Letters dated June 9, 21, and 25, 2004 On September 1, 2004, the NRC responded by letter to Mr. David Lochbaum of the Union of Concerned Scientists in regard to his letters dated June 9, 21, and 25, 2004, in which he suggested the NRC take action to address the safety culture and performance issues at the Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations. Because you have previously expressed an interest in the NRCs oversight of Salem and Hope Creek, a copy of this letter is attached for your information.
