On 5/3/04, the Browns Ferry LRA team discussed how the issues of Appendix F, "Integration of Unit 1 Restart and LRA Activities," of the application are to be addressed in the Browns Ferry Safety Evaluation Report. Appendix F of the application contains TVAs planned resolution of the differences in Unit 1 Systems and Structures (and Programs) that will make Unit 1s Current Licensing Bases essentially the same as Units 2 and 3. Text annotated with bold border boxes, in many sections of the application, provide references to Appendix F.
The Project Manager will write a portion of the SER (as License Condition and/or SE Section) to address the Appendix F items. The SE input for any section of the application that has a bold border box, is to include a statement indicating that the bold border box commitment, as described in Appendix F, is addressed in the SE. The standard statement to be used will be provided by the project management. Please contact Yoira or me if you need further clarification on this matter.
