MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - PRE-DECISIONAL ENFORCEMENT CONFERENCE (CATEGORY ONE), BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1, DOCKET NO. 50-259
Dear Mr. Scalice:
This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. T. Abney of your staff and myself of this office on March 16, 2004, concerning a Pre-decisional Enforcement Conference, which has been scheduled for April 28, 2004, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the apparent violation documented in NRC Inspection Report 05000259/2004011 (ADAMS accession number ML040970536), involving deficiencies in the Browns Ferry Unit 1 Recovery Quality Assurance Program, related to implementation of weld repairs in the Unit 1 torus. The location of the conference will be at the NRC Region II Office, Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 61 Forsyth Street, S. W., Atlanta, Georgia, 30303, in Suite 24T20. The meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with Section V of The General Statement of Policy and Procedures for NRC Enforcement Actions - May 1, 2000, NUREG-1600 (Enforcement Policy).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
