On September 19, Salem 1 reduced power to approximately 70% due to rising condenser backpressure from increased condenser biofouling caused by a hurricane.
On September 20, Salem 1 was shutdown due to switchyard arcing from salt build-up on insulators due to the hurricane. The unit was placed back on the grid on September 27.
At the end of the month, Salem 1 completed 3 days of continuous on-line operation.
