Re:

4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Post-THI Requirements Control Room Habitability NUREG-0737 Item III.0.3.4 This letter contains our initial response to your letters of Hay 3, 1982 and April 28, 1982 which contained requests for additional information concerning control room habitability requirements of NUREG-0737 Item III.0.3.4 for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4.

Attached is our response to question 3 concerning the availability of self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) gear to control room personnel.

We trust that the numerous SCBA sets and spare cylinders which are located both in and near the control room adequately address the staff's concern on the subject.

In regards to questions 1 and 2 contained in your letters, we are currently reviewing our control room design against the staff questions and intend to respond to you by July 16, 1982.

Very truly yours, bert E. Uhrig Vice President Advanced Systems and Technology REU/PKG
