REFERENCE:
Letter from Patrick L. Louden (NRC) to Dave Hamilton, Perry Nuclear Power Plant NRC Inspection Report 05000440/2017009 And Preliminary White Finding, dated June 5, 2017-Apparent Violation 05000440/2017009-01 "Unsuitable Application of Surge Suppression Diodes in Standby Diesel Generator Control Power Circuitry" The referenced letter requested verbal and written notification within 10 days of the date of the letter stating Perry Nuclear Power Plant's (PNPP) intention to (1) request a Regulatory Conference to present to the NRC PNPP's perspective on the facts and assumptions the NRC used to arrive at the finding and assess its significance, or (2) submit PNPP's position on the finding to the NRC in writing. On June 14, 2017, Mr.
David Hamilton discussed with Mr. Jamnes Cameron, of the NRC, PNPP's choice to submit a written response on this matter.
This letter provides the written notification that a written response will submitted within 40 days of the receipt of the referenced letter.
