RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR FERMI 2 NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
Dear Mr. Plona:
On April 30, 2014, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received the DTE Electric Company application for renewal of operating license for Fermi 2. The NRC staff is currently performing an acceptance review for docketing in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.101 (10 CFR 2.101), and will notify you of the results of our review. Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, a schedule for the review will then be provided to you.
We have enclosed for your information a copy of the notice relating to your application that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Daneira Meléndez-Colón as the project manager for the safety review, and Ms. Leslie Perkins as project manager for the environmental review of your license renewal application. Please forward copies of license renewal correspondence to Ms. Meléndez-Colón or Ms. Perkins as appropriate. Mr. Thomas J. Wengert continues to remain responsible for the project management of all issues other than license
renewal for Fermi 2.
