Dear Ms. Garcia Santos:

This letter is regarding Docket No. 71-9355 and CAC/EPID Nos. 001029/L-2023-LLA-0102. The purpose of this letter is to address a request for additional information (RAI) in connection with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review of a Safety Analysis Report (SAR) item for the 435-B Package, Package Identification Number USA/9355/B(U)-96. This submission is supported by the following change to Chapter 7, Section 7.1.3.1, step 10(c):

From: If the criteria of step (b) above do not apply, as an option, preshipment leakage rate testing may be performed according to Section 7.4, Preshipment Leakage Rate Test.

To: For all other cases, the main containment (upper) O-ring seal and vent port plug seal pre-shipment leakage rate testing shall be performed in accordance with either Section 8.2.2, Maintenance/Periodic Leakage Rate Tests or Section 7.4, Preshipment Leakage Rate Test.

The agreed upon change will be captured in the current SAR revision.
