Dear Mr. Kansler:

By letter dated January 25, 2006, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., submitted an application for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 54 (10 CFR Part 54) to renew the operating license for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station. The NRC staff conducted an audit and review of the aging management reviews (AMRs), associated aging management programs (AMPs), and time-limited aging analysis (TLAAs).
