SUMMARY
OF THE JULY 2, 2013, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS NRC OVERSIGHT ACTIVITIES, AND CLINTON POWER STATION 2012 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT On July 2, 2013, a public meeting was held at the Vespasian Warner Public Library, 301 North Quincy Street in Clinton, IL, between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Clinton Power Station management and staff. The purpose of the public meeting was to provide an opportunity for the public to hear about NRC oversight activities and the Clinton Power Station performance for the period of January 1, 2012, through December 31, 2012. The NRC letter and meeting notice for this public meeting can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) as ML13162A110 and ML13162A292 respectively. A list of the public meeting attendees who signed the attendance sheet is attached.
The NRCs presentation at the public meeting led off with an overview of the NRCs Mission and Performance Goals, the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP), and national ROP results. The NRC also provided discussions related to the NRCs assessment of the Clinton Power Station performance, which was documented in the March 4, 2013, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (reference ADAMS Accession Number ML13060A108.) Slides used to describe the NRC's ROP process and Clinton Power Station 2012 performance can be found in ADAMS under ML13184A315.
