Vogan R. Ballard L. Reiter G. Giese-Koch As requested by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company is presently performing a Long Term Seismic Program to reevaluate the seismic design basis for the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant near San Luis Obispo, California.
The program includes the consideration of current geological, seismological and tectonic information.
One of our consultants in this matter, Dr. David B.
Slemmons of the University of Nevada,
- Reno, informed us that water well 'logs in your files dealing with the Pismo syncline sub-surface profiles are of great interest.
