MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION ROUTINE INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-020/2016-202
Dear Mr. Queirolo:
From December 12-15, 2016, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission) conducted an inspection at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Research Reactor facility. The enclosed report documents the inspection results, which were discussed on December 15, 2016, with you; Professor David Moncton, Director, Nuclear Reactor Laboratory; and other members of the reactor facility staff.
The inspection examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to safety and compliance with the Commissions rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license.
The inspector reviewed selected procedures and records, observed activities, and interviewed personnel. Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of significance were identified.
No response to this letter is required.
