Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Fire Protection - Alternate Water Supply In accordance Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Operating License No. 7
, paragraph 3.E, the purpose of this correspondence is to notify you of a slippage in the implementation schedule for the installation of the Alternate Water Supply indicated in Table 3.1 item 3.1.20 of the NRC Safety Evaluation Report (SER).
The slippage has been caused by engineering problems associated with the installation, and manpower probleas due to the current refueling outage and *INI lessons learned work. The installation of the new water supply requires cleaning an existing tank which has not been available due to the unforeseen extension of the current refueling outage. Additionally, due to the exterded outage and the work associated with TMI lessons learned, This situa' ion was discussed personnel resources ~have been limited.

In conclusion, the Alternate Water Supply to the yard loop will be completed prior to November 1, 1980, which is in accordance with the currently proposed revisions to 10CFR50 (addition of new Section 50.48 and a new Appendix R).
