Gentlemen:
Enclosed please find a proposed change to the Arkansas Nuclear One-Unit 1 Technical Specifications for your review and approval. This proposal would delete the surveillance requirements concerning the Boric Acid Mix Tank (BMT temperature and level channels since the BMIT is not required to fulfi'. any safety function nor is it addressed by any limiting condi-tion for operation.
The BMIT is normally drained and isolated from the remainder of the Chemical Feed System. The BMfr contains condensate and boric acid only during
. nixing operations and is under direct observation of the operator during these times. 'Iherefore, no effects on plant operations are expected as a result of this porp.' sal.
