This certificate supersedes, in its entirety, Certificate of Compliance No. 6698, Revision No. 12, dated October 17, 1980.
Changes made to the enclosed certificate are indicated by vertical lines in the margin.
In connection with that part of your application dated November 5, 1980 which addresses the use of temporary shielding in order to meet the external radiation levels from a package for the normal conditions of transport, we need (1) the specific details of the additional shielding to be employed, (2) the method of attachment and assessment that the shielding will remain effective for the normal conditions of transport, and (3) a limited period in time in which a specific shipment would be completed.
Those on the attached list have been registered as users of this package under the general license provisions of 10 CFR 671.12(b) or 49 CFR 6173.393a.
This approval constitutes authority to use this package for shipment of radio-active material and for the package to be shipped in accordance with the provisions of 49 CFR 9173.393a.
