CONSENT MOTION FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME u.s, %*$sI@'av q

4s s /,

Petitioners, Parsons & Whittemore, Inc. and Re'ho cps; M Recovery (Dade County), Inc. ("RRD"), hereby move the Board for an extension of time in which to file their appeal from the Licensing Board's Order of October 2, 1981 in which the Board affirmed its August 5, 1981 Memorandum and Order.

RRD requests that it be permitted to file an appeal on or before October 26, 1981.

RRD states that it has spoken with counsel for Florida Power & Light Company, Florida Cities and the NRC Staff and that each has consented to the requested extension of time.

Counsel for RRD were not expecting a decision on their Objections this quickly and l

have made other commitments during the next ten days that make it difficult to file an appeal within the time allotted.

Indeed, it is apparent that FP&L did not expect such a rapid decision either, since it had moved the Licensing Board for leave to respond toop s

RRD's objections.

For these reasons, the requested extension of time is necessary.

Respectfully submitted,

, R. M GEORGE G KUCIK ELLEN E.
