1.1 Assign an individual the duties of Operations Support Center communicator (if available).
1.2 Direct the Operations support Center communicator to verify operability of the communications systems as defined in Section 2.0 of this procedure.
1.3 Notify the Control Room when the Operations Support Center is manned and that communications are satisfactory between the Technical Support Center and the Operations Support Center.
1.4 Take the necessary actions required to procure eauip-ment and supplies as deemed necessary by the Emergency Director.
2.0 Operations Support Center Communicator shall:
2.1 Verify communications capability exists between the Operations Support Center and the Control Room, and Technical Support Center. (if Technical Support Center has been activated).

ACTION LEVEL The Radiation Survey Groups will be activated as necessary by the Radiation Protection Team Leader.
PRECAUTIONS 1.
The group member's exosoure should be limited to the administrative guide levels in Appendix EP 205B-4, Emergency Exposure Limits.
2.
If the enuipment in use during a survey fails or malfunctions, it must be repaired or replaced; otherwise, the survey team shall retreat to a safe area until the equipment is replaced or repaired.
3.
When conduiting field surveys from inside a vehicle, readings must be taken with the probe outside the vehicle.
IMMEDIATE ACTIONS

l 1.0 Radiation Protection Team Leader shall:
1.1 Appoint a Plant Survey Grouc Leader to direct Plant Survey Squads and assist with In-plant Radiation Surveys.
1.2 Appoint a Field Survey Group Leader to direct Field Survey Squads and assist with Field Radiation Surveys.
1.3 Instruct the Plant and Field Group Leaders in the areas to be surveyed.

1.5 Apooint a group member to stay in the Emergency Operations Facility and establish and maintain communi-cations from Field and Plant Survey Grouos in order to record survey data for dose assessment purposes.
2.0 Plant Survey Group Leader shall:
2.1 Dispatch scuads to survey areas in the olant and on-site.
2.2 Post areas as necessary to prevent the spread of contamination and accumulation of large doses of radiation to operating cersonnel.
2.3 Relay the results of the s'urveys to the Radiation Protection Team Leader.
3.0 Plant S'urvey Group Members shall:

3.1 Obtain necessary equipment for conducting the surveys assigned by the Plant Survey Group Leader in Step 2.1.
Equipment can be obtained from emorqcacy kits in the Emergency Operations Facility or from I
normal storage location of HP portable instruments.
3.2 Check that eauipment is functional before leavino for surveys.
3.3 Conduct surveys when directed to do so by the Plant Survey Group Leader.
Fill out appropriate sections of Appendix EP 205B-1.
3.4 Report data to the Plant Survey Group Leader via l

4.0 Field Survey Group Leader shall:
4.1 Dispatch nauads, to monitor areas offsite, as designated by the Radiation Protection Team Leader.
4.2 Maintain communications with survey teams.

ON-SHIFT OPERATIONS PERSONNEL REPORT TO THE OPERATIONS SUPPORT CENTER OR THE CONTROL ROOM; PERSONNEL SAFETY TEAM, REPORT TO THE ASSEMBLY AREA; OTHER EMERGENCY TEAMS REPORT TO THE UNIT 1 AREA AND AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS.
1.4 Repeat the announcement.
1.5 Direct activation of the evacuation sirens, including the Pond Page System in accordance with EP 301, Operating the Evacuation Sirens and Pond Page System.
1.6 After the sirens have stopped, repeat the announcement and the activation of the evacuation sirens and the Pond Page System.

RMC shall arrange for transport of the patients either by ambulance, perscnal vehicle, or helicooter. Provisicms exist for helicopter transfer from pads at the plant site or Delta-Cardiff.

EP-501 PUBLIC ALERT SIREN ACTIVATICN - INTERIM PilRPOSE This procedure describes the method for pounding the public alert sirens
.during the period from February 1, 1982 until. the systen installation has been completed.
. PRECAUTIONS 1.
No public alert siren shall be activated by Philadelphia Electric t
Company enployees without prior authority from the respective county EOC's.
IMEDIATE ACTIONS
~
The Emergency Director shall notify per procedure appropriate county and E
1.
state agencies that a particular class of energency exists at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station.
2.
The Emergency Director or the Site Emergency Coordinator, if the EOF is activated, shall contact the Conowingo Control Room Operator at 82-221 and request initiation of t!ie siren activation procedure.
3.
When the county EOC's authorize the operation of the sirens to alert the public, the Dnergency Director or the Site Emergency Coordinator, if the EOF is activated, shall contact the Conowingo Control Room Operator and direct that the sirens be sounded. He shall inform the Conowingo Operator of radioactive exposure hazards which might require protective equipment for the siren operators.
4.
The Conowingo Operator shall contact in this order:
a) The Conowingo Power Company Dispatcher in Elkton, Maryland, at
