We are preparing an Environmental Assessment to evaluate Kerr-McGee Corporation's proposal to dispose of uranium-contaminated soil on the Cimarron,
)
Oklahoma site, in accordance with the letter of October 13, 1988, from Mark S.
Coleman, Deputy Commissioner for Environmental Health Services of the Oklahoma State Department of Health, to Bert Davis, Regional Administrator of Region til of the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, we request that your office prepare whatever information you deem necessary for a chapter of the Environmental Assessment dealing with nonradiological hazards.
We hope to publish the finding of the Environmental Assessment in the Federal Register before the end of August 1990, it would be convenient if your information on the nonradiological hazards that might be associated with the contaminated soil disposal could be available to us by mid-August.
