The wire was tightened and all the other wires on the vahr were checked for security. The unit was returned to power and paralleled to the grid at 0435 on 9/29S4.

l DOCKET NO. 50-318 CALVERT CLIFFS - UNIT 2 October 14,1994

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE September 1994 At the request of the dispatcher the unit began the month in a reduced power condition due to a very low demand on the grid. The power was 53% reactor power. Commenced raising power at 0500 on September 6,1994 and established 100% reactor power at 1540.

Power was again reduced slightly on September 9,1994 at 1525 to repair the number 22 heater drain tank normal level control valve. The power was again returned to 100% at 1350 on September 13, 1994.

On September 23 at 2200, commenced reducing power to repair an air leak on 21 condenser of the Main Steam drain collector box. The unit was removed from the grid at 0310 on September 24,1994 to affect these repairs; however, the unit remained at approximately 6% reactor power during the repairs. The unit was again paralleled to the grid on September 24,1994 at 2015.

On September 24,1994 at 2016, the unit automatically tripped from approximately 16% reactor power due to low steam generator pressure caused by the governor valves opening fully. The cause of the governor valve opening was a loose wire in the control circuitry of the valve. The wire was tightened and the unit was returned to power and paralleled to the grid at 0435 on September 29, 1994.

The unit ended the month at 100';c reactor power.
