Dear Mr. Denton:
In a letter dated June 19, 1984, South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G) requested a revision to the Virgil C.
Summer Nuclear Station Technical Specifications.
SCE&G hereby requests that amendment be revised as indicated on the enclosed attachments to define allowable power levels for RCS flow rates less than 100% of Thermal Design flow. contains the proposed amended pages to the Technical Specifications and Attachment 2 provides an explanation and justification for this proposed change. provides the basis for the significant hazards consideration.
This change has been reviewed and approved by the Plant Safety Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Committee.
A check in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4000.00) has previously been transmitted along with the June 19, 1984 submittal to process this amendment.
