This refers to the inspection conducted by Dr. J. Blair Nicholas of this office

during the period August 26-30, 1985, of activities authorized by NRC Operating
,
License DPR-46 for Ccoper Nuclear Station, and to the discussion of our
findings with Mr. P. V. Thomason and other members of your staff at the
4
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included transportation and solid radwaste
j
activities. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examina-
tion of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
4
observations by the insoector. These findings are documented in the enclosed
j
inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure
j
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room unless you notify this office,
I
by telephone, within 10 days of the date of this letter, and submit written
t
application to withhold information contained therein within 30 days of the
date of this letter. Such application must be consistent with the requirements
j
of 2.790(b)(1).
