DRESDEN NUCLEAR STATION SECURITY PLAN (REVISlON 59)
Dear Mr. Krich:
This letter acknowledges receipt of your letter dated December 30,1998, which transmitted changes identified as Revision 59 to the Dresden Nuclear Station Security Plan, submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p).
After a limited review of the submitted changes which requested the elimination of a specific vital area at the Dresden Station we have determined that your request appeared to have policy implications. Therefore, your request will be referred to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) for evaluation and disposition. If these changes have been implemented, you may be operating in violation of the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(p) or other applicable NRC regulations.
You will be informed of the result.e of NRC's review by separate correspondence from NRR.
The enclosure to your letter contained Safeguards information of a type specified in 10 CFR 73.21 and will be withheld from public disclosure.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a ccpy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Roorn.
