By letter dated July 15, 1988 Portland General Electric Company (PGE) l l
committed to the installation of a new Control Room annunciator panel by l
September 30, 1990.
An overview of the annunciator replacement program was presented to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff members in a
)
meeting October 19, 1988.
At the close of the meeting, the NRC staff i
expressed that human engineering deficiencies (HEDs) 132 and 133 would be l
considered for closure.
The remaining open items are installation of the l
new panel by PGE and issuance of a safety evaluation discussing the
]
acceptability of HED resolutions by the NRC staff, per NRC letter dated
)

I.D,2.3, - Plant Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS) Console -
Fully Implemented the only open item is issuance of a safety evaluation discussing the acceptability of SPDS-related HEDs by the NRC staff, per NRC letter dated June 25, 1987.
III.D.3.4.3, MPA-B083 - Control Room Habitability - Implement Modifications and Technical Specification Covered by Generic Letter 83-37 By letter dated September 30, 1986 PGE submitted the completed toxic gas analysis for review by the NRC staff. The analysis justifies deletion of the ammonia and sulfer dioxide detectors.
PGE is awaiting the results of the review prior to amending the Technical Specifications. This item is the only one PCE considers necessary for resolution of these TMI Action Plan items.
