The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) requests amendment of NRC Certificate of Compliance (CoC) Number 9315, for Model ES-3100, Docket 71-9315. A pre-application conference call was held with NRC staff on February 1, 2024, to discuss changes to the packaging and new contents. The application (Safety Analysis Report, Y-12 National Security Complex, Model ES-3100 Package with Bulk HEU Contents, Y/LF-717 001 05 DRAFT-ISSUED FOR APPROVAL, dated June 16, 2022) was uploaded to a secure DOE server and received by the previous NRC Project Manager, Pierre Saverot, on August 1, 2023. The CoC amendment is needed by DOE by October 31, 2024.
