Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure Revision

Pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR ) 50.54 (q )( 5 ), and 10 CFR 72.44(f),

the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is submitting a descr iption of change to the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (W BN ) Rad io log ical Emerge ncy Plan (REP ). The affected document is the WBN Emergency Plan Im plementing Procedure (EPIP ) listed belo w :

Description of Changes

EPIP-4 revision 46 enacted the following changes :

  • Corrected title of EPIP-1 (Emergency Plan Classificatio n Lo g ic) in the References.
  • Corrected a typographical error in Attachment 4 ( Notification of the Nuclear Regulatory Commiss ion (NRC) (NRC Event Not ification Worksheet)) to state Site Area Emergency in stead of Gene ra l Emergency.

The above change was evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3) and 10 CFR 72.44(f).

TVA determined that the change did not reduce the effectiveness of the WBN REP. The WBN REP, as revised, continues to meet the requirements in Appendix E to 10 CFR 50 and the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b).
