The enclosed Order is in response to a February 23. 1996, request and supplements of April 24, 1996, and November 15. 1996. for approval, pursuant to Section 50.80 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, of the a) plication regarding the merger agreement between Union Electric Company (JEC) and CIPSCO Incorporated (CIPSCO). under which UEC will become a subsidiary of a new company. Ara en Corporation A Post Operating License Antitrust Review Finding of No Significant Changes and the staff's Safety Evaluation in support of the Order are also enclosed.
A copy of your December 22. 1995, application filed before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has been placed in the Callaway Plant docket file.
