A white finding is significant and relatively infrequent, but a site may expect to receive one of these every 10 years.
Sequence of a White finding
- Event (various sources)
- Inspection, NRC will conduct a more detail inspection look at the issue and communicate a more than green concern with licensee.
- Discussion between site and NRC about issue and significance (typically PRA)
- Exit - meeting to officially state the white finding
- Inspection report - contains a preliminary finding. Asks for acceptance or challenge.
