Subject: Routine Safety Inspection Report No. 50-245/87-16
This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by R. A. McBrearty
of this office on July 6-10, 1987 at the Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit
1, Waterford, Connecticut. Mr. McBrearty discussed the findings of the inspection ;
with Messrs. Clement and Haynes at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
