Subject: INSPECTION NO. 50-333/87-25 ,
This letter refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. S. Chaudhary of
this office on November 17-19, 1987 at FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Station,
Lycoming, New York. Mr. Chaudhary discussed the findings of the inspection with
you at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed. However, we
note that the pipe support inspection and evaluation program in response to NRC
Bulletins 79-02, 79-07, and 79-14 are still not complete. Accordingly, we
request that you inform us within 30 days of receipt of this letter of your
plans for completing the bulletin activities.
