LASALLE COUNTY STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 CORRECTION TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST TO RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES TO ADOPT 10 CFR 50.69, RISK-INFORMED CATEGORIZATION AND TREATMENT OF STRUCTURES, SYSTEMS, AND COMPONENTS FOR NUCLEAR POWER REACTORS (EPID L-2020-LLA-0017)
Dear Mr. Hanson:
By letter dated September 3, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20240A218), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff issued the request for additional information (RAI) regarding your license amendment request dated January 31, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20031E699). The amendment would revise the renewed facility operating licenses to adopt 10 CFR [Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations] 50.69, Risk-informed categorization and treatment of structures, systems, and components for nuclear power reactors.
The NRC staff has identified that due to inadvertent error, the third paragraph in the NRCs letter stated that The draft request for additional information (RAI) is enclosed. It should read The request for additional information (RAI) is enclosed.
Additionally, the last sentence in the fourth paragraph stated that By email dated August 26, 2020, you committed to provide the responses to this request no later than September 30, 2020, for Question Nos. 1, 2, 8, 11, and 12, and October 22, 2020, for Question Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10. It should read, By email dated August 26, 2020, you committed to provide the responses to this request no later than 30 calendar days from the date of this letter for Question Nos. 1, 2, 8, 11, and 12, and no later than 45 calendar days from the date of this letter for Question Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10.
The correction does not change any of the RAIs. Based on the above change, the response dates for the RAIs would be October 3, 2020, for Question Nos. 1, 2, 8, 11, and 12, and October 18, 2020, for Question Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10.
