Dear Dr. Jackson:
-I Congratulations on your recent appointment as Chairperson. It is with renewed hope that I send you this message: Louisiana Energy Services (LES) is proposing a uranium enrichment plant that threatens the land, air and water l quality of Forest Grove and Center Springs, Louisiana.
I belleve that this facility is dangerous and iotally unnecessary. Furthermore, the siting of this facility between two low income African-American communities is a clear example of environmental racism and sets a dangerous precedent for otherlowincome communities of color.
No community should be forced to host this dangerous facility. I ask that you use your authority to prevent LES from obtaining a permit to build the Claibome l Enrichment Center and ensure the environmental protection of locSI citizens.
