By letter dated August 25,1993 PECO Energy Company submitted Technical Specifications (TS) Change Request No. 92-13-0 for Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2. -This proposed TS change involves revising TS Surveillance Requirements (SR) 4.7.1.3 to require that all Spray Pond spray network piping above the frost line be drained within one (1) hour after being used only when the ambient air temperature is below 40*F.
Subsequently, the NRC has requested that we modify the proposed TS wording to more cleady describe when the Spray Pond spray network piping will be drained. The changes recommended by the NRC involve adding words to TS SR 4.7.1.3 to include an additional requirement that the piping be drained when ambient air temperature falls below 40'F if the piping has not been previously drained.
Therefore, in response to the NRC's request, we have revised the applicable TS pages associated with TS Change Request No. 9213-0 to incorporate the wording changes -
recommended by the NRC. The revised TS pages are provided in the attachment to this letter. l This information is being submitted under affirmation, and the required affidavit is enclosed.
