In this update we informed the NRC the Material Condition Task Force items relating to the diesel generator fuel oil supply system would not be complete until the end of 1989. Specifically these items address the procurement of a spare fuel oil transfer pump and modification of the fuel oil storage system. Due to budgetary considerations the completion of these items in being deferred to the end of 1990. These items are considered plant betterment activities and, therefore, further delay in completion is not a safety concern.
