UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 Mr. Bryan C. Hanson Senior Vice President Exelon Generation Company, LLC President and Chief Nuclear Officer Exelon Nuclear 4300 Winfield Road Warrenville, IL 60555 March 30, 2015

SUBJECT:

BRAIDWOOD STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2, AND BYRON STATION, UNIT NOS. 1AND2-CORRECTION TO SAFETY EVALUATION PAGES FOR AMENDMENT NOS. 180, 180, 186, AND 186 RE: CLARIFICATION OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 3.3.1 AND 3.3.2 (TAC NOS. MF4023, MF4024, MF4025, AND MF4026)

Dear Mr. Hanson:

By letter dated December 7, 2014, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML 14239A427), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 180 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-72 and Amendment No. 180 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-77 for the Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2, respectively, and Amendment No. 186 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-37 and Amendment No. 186 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-66 for the Byron Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.

The associated safety evaluation (SE) contained several typographical errors. Specifically, the errors consisted of several instances of inadvertent inclusion of the phrase "and setpoint adjustment," an omission of the Pressurizer Pressure High function from the list of functions to which Condition E applies, and a misspelled word. The errors occurred on pages 2 through 6 of the associated SE. Corrected copies of pages 2 through 6 of the associated SE are enclosed.

These corrections do not change any of the conclusions in the SE associated with the license amendments.

B. Hanson We apologize if these errors have caused any inconvenience.

If you have any questions this matter, please contact the Senior Project Manager, Joel S. Wiebe, at (301) 415-6606 or by e-mail at Joel.Wiebe@nrc.gov.
