NRC BULLETIN 88-11 PRESSURIZER SURGE LINE THERMAL STRATIFICATION SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 By letter dated May 15, 1991, Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSE&G) submitted its response to NRC Bulletin 88-11. In that response.PSE&G committed to providing the NRC with a schedule for completion of.the required modifications within 30 days. This letter is being:submitted to provide that schedule.
- During the ne.xt refueling outages, tenth for Salem JJnit 1, scheduled to begin April 1992 and sixth for Salem Unit 2, scheduled to begin January i.992, walkdowns to confirm field dimensions will be conducted.
These walkdowns are required to determine temporary supports and shielding necessary to perform the required modifications.
The walkdowns cannot be performed during power operations.
- Following the walkdowns, all required modifications and evaluations will be completed prior to startup from the next refueling outage for each unit. Salem Unit 1 eleventh refueling outage is scheduled to begin October 1993, and Salem Unit 2 seventh refueling outage is scheduled to begin March 1993. 9106250001 PDR ADOCK 910617 05000272*
