OnMondayAugust7,stationoutputwasapproximately 540MWewithpreconditioning rampratestillineffect.Completed anLPRMcalibration onAugust8,andreachedpreconditioned envelopeto1711MWtonthe9thofAugust;alsostartedpowerrodwithdrawals tomaintain94~oCTP(553MWe).Reducedloadto500MWeat2230on11thofAugustinordertore-placesealson¹11motordrivenfeedwater pump.Loadrecovered to540MWEat2230thefollowing dayuponcompletion ofpumpwork,andoutputof554MWeattainedat0800onthe13thofAugust.Unitoperatedatapproximately 94'oCTPbyrodwithdrawal until2200onthe19thwhenareduction to450MWeviareactorrecirculation flowoccurredinordertowithdrawshallowcontrolrods.Preconditioning from461MWewasinitiated andstationoutputof537MWewasreachedat0540onAugust21.UnitoperatedatthispowerleveluntilAugust27whenacoastdownto92~oCTPwasinitiated, tomeetnewpower/flow limitations basedonscramreactivity considerations.
However,afurtherreductions toapproximately 80>~powerwasrequiredwhen¹11ReactorRecirculating Pumphadtobetakenoutofserviceat1735duetoapumpcoolerleak.Theplantwasderatedto84'oCTPfromthe27ththroughtheendofthemonth,andoutputwasatapproximately 485MWeduringthisperiod.
