Vibration scanswerealsoconducted inbothaxisofvibration betweenfivetothirty-five cpstodetermine thepresenceofany'Iresonances.

~)PageApril29,1969Thepreviousshockandvibration testofaLimitorque Operatorwasextendedto'16and25cps.Theabovetestextendedthelevelto3G'sat35cps.B.'ESTOFGEAREDLIMITSNITCHNITHMATERIALCHANGE:On,theprevioustestofaLimitorque Operatorassubmitted January2,1969,afailureoccurredduetotheactionofthechemicalsprayonthematerialofthegearframeofthegearedlimit,switch.Thi,scausedthepremature, failureofthegearedlimitswitch.Thegearframematerialhasbeenchangedasprev-iouslyrecommended andanadditional testofthisrevisedgearedlimitswitchha'sbeenconducted atTheFranklinInstitute ResearchLabratories inPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania onApril9throughApril16,1969.Thegearedlimitswitchwasplacedinthesameenvironmental chamberastheprevioustestandwasusedinconjunction withstartingandstoppinganelectricmotoralsointhetestchamber.Theenvironment consisted ofasevendaytestwhereinthegearedlimitswitchwasexposedtohighsteampres'sure, temperature andchemicalenvironment similartotheprevioustest.Thenewgearedlimitswitchsuccessfully completed thetestwithnosignofwearordeterioration duetothesteampressure, 0'
