Thepurposeofthisletteristorequestwithdrawal ofaportionoftheTechnical Specification (T/S)changesrequested inourletterAEP:NRC:0967L datedAugust9,1988.Theportionthatwearerequesting towithdrawconsistsofthoseitemsnumbered2and3inAttachment 1oftheletter.LetterNo.AEP:NRC:0967L proposedfoursurveillance intervalextensions toallowUnit'1oftheDonaldC.CookNuclearPlanttocontinueoperation untiltheupcomingCycle10-11refueling outage.Therequested extensions areforsurveillances duebetweenFebruary26,1989,andMarch26,1989'owever,items2and3ofourrequest,whichinvolveicecondenser flowpassageinspections andinletdoortesting,wereperformed duringanunanticipated outagethatoccurredbetweenSeptember 7andSeptember 15,1988.Theoutagewasnotofsufficient durationtoperformthetestinginvolvedwithitems1and4ofourrequest,whichinvolveicebasketweighingandRTDcalibrations.

Wehaveincludedasanattachment tothisletterarevisedT/Spage3/46-27.Thispagehadchangesrelatedtoitems1and2ofourletterAEP:NRC:0967L.

Thepagehasbeenrevisedtoreflectthedeletionofitem2,asdiscussed above.Theproposedrevisedpagescontaining theitem3changes,3/46-30and3/46-33,arenolongerneededandtherefore arebeingwithdrawn.
