- Developing revised schedule. Data input to P-3; waiting printout to evaluate.
Staffinge Needs (all)
- Kerry Bassett to join team as document reviewer for month of June.
- Three additional technical resources identified; two starting Monday. Two admin resources starting Monday.
Ouality Assessments (Wayne Limbereer)
- Corporate Assessment of SNM Inventory process underway; exit meeting 0930 Friday.
- John Card is host peer.
SFP Physical Search (John Card)
- Tape review completed. John Card to document conclusion in memo for Dave Mannai approval, following acceptance of ROV report.
- Need to document basis for not performing vacuuming following independent tape reviews.
SNIM and RW Shipment Records Search (Tom White)
- RIMS continues to provide documents. Using our processes we have reduced the total number of documents needing review to 2600. To date we have completed and documented approximately 2200 reviews.
- Information has been received from Barnwell which will negate performing any document reviews at their site. Some information has come in from Wilmington, Vallecitos, Hanford and Beatty; more is expected early next week.
- The need for trips to Barnwell and Hanford will be based on completion of document reviews with input from interviews. A Trip to Wilmington is tentatively scheduled for week of June 7th. A trip to Vallecitos to confirm records and interview hot cell personnel is expected.
Fuel Segment CharacterizationfEnvironmental Impact/Scenario Development
- Waiting validation of actual fuel piece lengths from GNF.
- First scenario development meeting scheduled for 1400-1700 hrs on 6/3104.
- Contact with DoE made; they are evaluating their capability to support. Questions have been submitted to us; we are developing responses.
Interviews / Root Cause Investigation (Roy Ramsdell)
- Interviews continuing. An additional resource dedicated to leading interview team is starting Monday. This will free Roy Ramsdell to dedicate full time to RCA.
- RCA Time Line under development. Will evaluate a) SNM control, b) SFP storage control, c) shipping controls.
Fuel Inspection (John Card)
Communication (Jim DeVincentis)
- NRC Letter requesting commitments received. Response to NRC by June 8, 2004. draft response in review.
- 30 day verbal NRC notification performed on 5/19/04 (Mike Hamer).
