3. The Operations Suoport Center will contain controlled copies of the Emergency Procedures. No extra radiation survey or emergency eauipment will be present at the center unless transported there by HPs and Maintenance personnel from other locations in the plant.

IMMEDIATE ACTIONS 1.0 Operations Support Center Coordihator or his designee shall:

1.1 Assign an individual the duties of Operations Support Center communicator (if available).

1.2 Direct the Operations support Center communicator to verify operability of the communications systems as defined in Section 2.0 of this procedure.

1.3 Notify the Control Room when the Operations Support Center is manned and that communications are satisfactory between the Technical Support Center and the Operations Support Center.

1.4 Take the necessary actions required to procure eauip-ment and supplies as deemed necessary by the Emergency Director.

2.0 Operations Support Center Communicator shall:

2.1 Verify communications capability exists between the Operations Support Center and the Control Room, and Technical ,

Support Center. (if Technical Support Center has been activated).

FOLLOW-UP ACTIONS 1.0 Ooerations Support Center Coordinator or his designee shall: .

1.1 Remain in contact with the Control Room in order to

provide assistance as needed by formulation of Interim Emergency Teams.

1.2 Direct personnel entering the Operations Support Center to log in using the official Operations Support Center log. .

PRECAUTIONS

1. The group member's exosoure should be limited to the administrative guide levels in Appendix EP 205B-4, Emergency Exposure Limits.

2. If the enuipment in use during a survey fails or malfunctions, it must be repaired or replaced; otherwise, the survey team shall retreat to a safe area until the equipment is replaced or repaired.

3. When conduiting field surveys from inside a vehicle, readings must be taken with the probe outside the vehicle.

. PURPOSE, This apoendix prov' ides the method of contacting key staff pornennel who will, in-turn, notify sufficient support personnel to meet

1. The following steps shall be cerformed, in secuence, by the Shift Clerk or other assigned personnel. .

2. Inform each person contacted of the event classification and that 60 minute staffing is recuired. .

3. Call pager number if the phone is busy, there is not answer, or you know that the individual is "on-the-pacer". Individus1s

4. Contact two staff senior enaineers. W. T. Ullrich is contacted by the Communicator and counts at one contact. Do not call W. T. Ullrich if the Communicator has successf ully reached him. PilRPOSE This procedure describes the method for pounding the public alert sirens '

.during the period from February 1, 1982 until. the systen installation has been completed.

. PRECAUTIONS .-

1. No public alert siren shall be activated by Philadelphia Electric -

t Company enployees without prior authority from the respective county ,

EOC's. -

IMEDIATE ACTIONS

~

1. The Emergency Director shall notify per procedure appropriate county and E state agencies that a particular class of energency exists at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. - -

2. The Emergency Director or the Site Emergency Coordinator, if the EOF is activated, shall contact the Conowingo Control Room Operator at 82-221 and request initiation of t!ie siren activation procedure.

3. When the county EOC's authorize the operation of the sirens to alert the public, the Dnergency Director or the Site Emergency Coordinator, if the EOF is activated, shall contact the Conowingo Control Room Operator and .

direct that the sirens be sounded. He shall inform the Conowingo Operator of radioactive exposure hazards which might require protective equipment for the siren operators.

4. The Conowingo Operator shall contact in this order:

a) The Conowingo Power Company Dispatcher in Elkton, Maryland, at
