- 3) The Director may authorite the Reactor Staff to' transport radioactive materials to a common carrier who is qualified to accept such materials for shipment.'
- 4) The Director may lease to a qualified recipient of radio-active materials, a DOT-approved shipping container to be used by the recipient and a common carrier, or onlygby the recipient, for the transportation of such materials.

REED REACIDR FACILITY Administrative Procedures Amendment #2 Section 1.1 is deleted and replaced by the following:
1.1 Erd Reactor Facility L Rred Reactor Facility (RRF) is located in a specially designed and constructed addition to the Reed College Chemistry Building, and is composed of the reactor bay, mechhanical room, control room, ventillation loft, and exit corddor. 'Ihe Operations Boundary consists of the perimeter of the RRF plus the penmeter of all of the other rooms shown in Figure 1.
Section 3.1 Item 3) is changed to delete " Reactor Facility" and to substitute " Operations Boundary" in the fint sentence, and to delete "in the Reactor Facility" and to substitute "within the Operations Boundary"in the third sentence.

members of your staff identified in the enclosed report, ,
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and enclosures (1) and (2) will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room. .The results-for the individual applicant are exempt from disclosure by 10 CFR 2.790(a)(6).
Therefore, enclosure (3) will not placed the NRC's Public Document Room.
