10 CFR Part 21 Notification
Dear Mr. Taylor:
This is a preliminary notification pursuant to the reporting requirements of 10 CFR Part 21 that selected welds were performed on alternate shutdown panels supplied to Duane Arnold Nuclear Power Plant without the benefit of qualified Weld Procedure Specifications. The structural integrity of the welds are not deficient; only the qualifications.
We are investigating the matter and are preparing the qualifications. We will notify the results of our investigations as soon as they are complete and inform other customers if they are affected.
