I am replying to your request of-May 26, 1981 to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Comanche Peak Steam i

Electric' Station, Units 1 &'2. This Draft EIS has been reviewed-by appropriate FERC staff components upon whose evaluation this response is based.
This staff. concentrates its review of other' agencies' en-vironmental impact statements basically.on those areas of the electric power, natural gas, and = oil pipeline industries for which the comission has jurisdiction by law, or where staff t has special expertise in evaluating environmental impacts in-I voled with the proposed' action. It does not. appear that there '
would be any significant impacts in these areas of concern nor serious conflicts with this agency's responsibilities should this action be undertaken.
