Regulatory Guide 1.133 (Reference
- 1) requires that components of the loose parts detection system in the primary system should be designed and installed to perform their functions following all seismic events that do not require plant shutdown.
Recording equipment need not function without maintenance following the specific seismic event, provided the audio and visual alarm capability remains functional.
