NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS TO ASSESS PLANT AND ENVIRONS CONDITIONS

DURING AND FOLLOWING

AN ACCIDENT Replace the last two paragraphs of Section D, Implementation, on page 1.97-7 with the following single paragraph:

The difficulties of procuring and installing additions or modifications to in-place instrumentation in order to meet the guidelines herein have been considered in establishing these schedules.

Because additional guidelines are currently being developed for the radiation exposure meters (continuous indication at fixed locations)

in Table 1 on page 1.97-14 and Table 2 on page 1.97-24, these items need not be implemented according to the above schedule.

When these guidelines have been developed, an implementation date will be established.

Other exceptions to provisions and schedules will be considered for extraordinary circumstances.
