The thermal overload referred to in paragraph 2, is positively identified a-in the control room. The present circuitry is set up such that the control

"not running", respectively. When the overloads open and no other malfunction g.i exists, the motor will stop and the red light will extinguish and the green Ok

light will illuminate; if the pump switch is in " slow", " fast" or " auto",

As can be seen from the above, wiring the green light in series with the overload does not serve the purpose of immediately indicating when the motor overloads open. Also, the function of the green light is lost under overload opening conditions. The green light indication is important because it not only indicates that the motor has stopped, but also that 1.

480 volt power is availabic

Control power transformer is functioning 3.

52X relay is functioning, and 4.

Contactor auxiliary contacts are functioning.

The only advantage of connecting the green light in series with the overload is that when the green light is illuminated the overloads are known to be closed. Therefore, based on the above facts it is concluded that the boric acid transfer pump indicating light circuitry should not be altered as previously recommended.
