Ocean Drive, Jensen Beach, FL 34957 L-2014-333 Attachment 1 of 1 St. Lucie Unit 2 THIRD INSPECTION INTERVAL RAI Reply -RELIEF REQUEST NUMBER 17, REVISION 0 RAIl 1 ASME Code,Section XI, Items B1.21 and B1.22 requires that Reactor Pressure Vessel (RPV) Bottom Head-to-Lower Shell Weld 201-141 and RPV Lower Head Peel Segment Welds 101-154-A through F requires essentially 100 percent volumetric examination of the "accessible length" of the weld. The ASME Code Committees recognize the limitations of examining these welds and specifically stated in this particular ASME Code requirement to examine the "accessible length" of the weld. Clarify whether or not if 100 percent of the accessible length of the subject welds were examined.FPL Response: Yes, 100% of the accessible length of the Bottom Head-to-Lower Shell Weld 201-141 and RPV Lower Head Peel Segment Welds 101-154-A through F were examined
