In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.90, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) is submitting a request for an amendment to the Technical Specifications (TS) for Farley Nuclear Plant (FNP), Units 1 and 2.The requested amendment will adopt various previously NRC-approved Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Travelers.
TSTF Travelers aregeneric changes to the Improved Standard Technical Specifications.
Therequested amendment will also adopt two changes not associated with Travelers.
These Travelers and other changes were chosen to increase the consistency between the FNP Technical Specifications, the Improved Standard Technical Specifications, and the Technical Specifications of the other plants in the SNCfleet. A list of the requested changes is located in Enclosure 1.Enclosure 1 provides the basis for the proposed TS change, and the Significant Hazards Consideration and Environmental Consideration determinations.
Enclosure 2 provides the marked-up TS. Enclosure 3 contains example Baseschanges that complement the proposed Technical Specification changes.
Theproposed Bases changes are provided for information only. The Bases will berevised under the Technical Specification Bases Control Program following NRCapproval of the proposed Technical Specification changes.
Enclosure 4 providesthe clean-typed TS pages. Enclosure 5 provides a summary of the regulatory commitments made in this license amendment request.As described in Enclosure 1, the proposed changes have been evaluated inaccordance with 10 CFR 50.91 (a)(1) using criteria in 10 CFR 50.92(c) and it hasbeen determined that the changes involve no significant hazards consideration.
